TBL TEAM SUCCESSES

DEDICATION AVAILABILITY DETERMINATION

I’ve never done much sport in my life, I did not have a regular life and I never planned of having goals in the sports field, even less in triathlon. In September 2024 everything changed. I met Coach Stefano, a person who was able to understand me, help me, train me and support me step by step until he brought me to complete an Ironman 70.3. I knew it would take time to reach that goal, and thanks to Stefano, I never lost hope. He was always available and present and I never had the feeling to be alone in this journey. He was able to transfer all his values changing my approach to life and consequently improving my state of physical and mental well-being, going far beyond a simple triathlon training. A real coaching, far from simple training tables and numbers, a person able to adapt my training program on a day by day based on my feeling, my needs, my family and work requirements. A coach respecting that we are not athletes, but making us feel as we are. Always ready to encourage and motivate, sharing useful advices and able to transmit dedication and determination. There have been some difficult moments in my training, but thanks to Stefano’s words, messages, calls  I have always been able to overcome them. A person capable of dedicating time to you, with passion and a deep knowledge of triathlon, the human body and sport. Through his camp he allowed me to be part of a group and reach goals that I never thought I could. I can only say thank you to Coach Stefano.

The most important aspect is that our super competitive results have been achieved without an exasperated and stressfull search, always maintaining the focus on a balanced approach and inserting Endurance within the broader framework of general well-being, where sport becomes a fundamental element for success also in everyday life, at work, with family and in social life!

Well Done Everyone! Let’s go… 2025 is coming!

… Look Back… but just to see How Far You’ve Come!..

… Look Back… but just to see How Far You’ve Come!… (this is what my Coach Stefano Massa just told me) … it has been a couple of challenging years with 14 broken bones including pelvis, wrists, arms, elbow, fingers … it has been a rollercoaster with plenty of ups & downs at home, at work and with health. I’ve been struggling a lot in my day to day, but step by step, I have been able to find the right mindset and energy to recover physically and mentally and achieve what I never thought. Beside going back to work and my personal life, have run my first Half Marathon, won my first Duathlon, won my first Triathlon, got Third on my first Open Water Race and finished my first Ironman 70.3!

My learnings: Be patient, never give up, ask for help, find someone who can guide you and make you succeed, make time for ‘yourself and what you like’, enjoy every little step forward and look back to see how far you have come Done! Thanks to my super coach, without him I would never have been able to achieve these results, but above all to get back on my feet and regain control of my life!

How to transform the IM-possible into POSSIBLE

Three and a half months ago I started preparing for my first marathon, giving myself little time to prepare for it and also setting myself a very ambitious time goal: to stay under 4 hours. To make everything more stimulating, from day 1 of training I had intramuscular pain that has kept me limping all these months and made me believe that that achievement was IM-possible. A month before the race the magic began. I deleted social media, I improved my diet, I cut out alcohol and as if by magic my workouts started to improve but the really important thing was that I started to believe in it. I started to believe that I could run under 4 hours. And so the IM-possible became POSSIBLE… Today I finished my first marathon with an incredible time: 3 hours 53 minutes and 37 seconds. And the crazy thing is that I had been visualizing this weather for 20 days. This post doesn’t want to underline the power of the mind, but simply don’t stop believing in it and continue chasing your dreams.

I thank my coach Stefano Massa who managed to guide me in an exceptional way in a short time, without him I would not have been so effective.

Finisher IM 70.3 World Championship 2023 thanks to a coach “within and beyond sport”

Ironman TBL Stefanomassa

The reasons pushing people to approach Triathlon can be different: going beyond our limits, desire for redemption, maintaining physical health; everyone has their own. The reasons that make people continue with triathlon over time are two: passion and dedication. The first arises spontaneously and is nourished by the results achieved over time. The second must be cultivated every day, training after training. For all this to be possible, a key element is needed: the presence of a coach. A coach who understands the athlete’s goals and potential. A coach, who is a guide, within and beyond sport.A coach who is not afraid to be sincere, but who always has the sensitivity to understand the athlete’s difficulties.

This coach for me is Stefano.

“A ‘Positive Anomaly’ who takes you to the Result from Sprint to Ironman to Xtreme”

I have known Stefano since 2020. The best way to describe the excellence of his coaching is that in almost 5 years I have never received wrong advice or direction. Stefano’s skills and experience are so deep and broad that he always ensures the best advice, the best training. I can add that a person like Stefano is a “positive anomaly” that is difficult to find. On the one hand, his professional experience leads him to fully understand the needs of professionals like us, as well as guaranteeing full focus and effective communication. On the other hand, forty and more years of Triathlon lived 100% plus an innate passion for the dynamics of this sport, allow him to be at least at the same level as a professional athlete. This unique mix makes Stefano Massa absolutely the best Coach both for new entries and for those who want to improve their performance.

Triathlete since 2019, with 2 IMs completed (Mallorca Nice) and 5 Xtreme Triathlons (Stone Brixia, 2 Icon, Patagonman and SWISSMAN), as well as various 70.3s (including Rapperswill, Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Sardinia).
